ΓΙΑ ΚΑΘΗΓΗΤΕΣ ΑΓΓΛΙΚΩΝ

Dear English Teachers,

We would like to remind you that the deadline for your school to apply for European Union funded, Teacher Training courses is the 17th of March 2014. It is not too late to register. It is an easy process!

The Stay Academy (PIC 944000121) is offering you the Creativity in the English Classroom course, a Teacher Development course, in central London. This course is for teachers of English as a foreign language, who would like to improve their teaching skills.

All you have to do, to be eligible for a European Union, fully funded course in London, with all accommodation, education, travel and food included, is to get your school to register for the Erasmus + Programme.

The courses are taking place in central London and will be funded by the European Commission as part of the Erasmus Plus funding scheme. This programme was formerly known as the Comenius and Gruntdvig Lifelong Learning Programme and has been re-named Erasmus +.

The Stay Academy is the only all year round residential, Teacher Training school with en suite studios in central London. Teachers live and study on campus, in a relaxed learning environment.

In order to get the funding from the European Commission for your Teacher Training course, we kindly ask you to follow these steps:

1.       Speak to your headmaster/principal of your school and ask if the school would like to take part in the programmes funded by the European Commission. The application for funding must be completed on behalf of the school. Once the school is registered, teachers from that school get the funding that the school applies for.

2.       Visit the website of the national agency ( http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/national-agencies_en.htm )in your country and read the information about the programme published there, in your language. On this website you will find the registration form that must be completed (example attached)

3.       Your school must register at the European Commission Authentication Service and get a Participant Identification Code (PIC)for communication within the programme. Make sure you use the form available from you country’s national agency website, as each country’s application is slightly different!

4.       Application for funding must be filled in and submitted at the national agency on your country, no later than on 17th March 2014 at 12 o’clock (midday).

5.       Wait for about 4 months to get the results from the national agency.

6.       Once you receive a reply from the national agency, please let us know whether you were granted the money or not.

For further information about how your school can register, the dates and course description, please e-mail info@thestayacademy.com. When you e-mail us please include your contact telephone number, so that we can call and talk to you about the whole process.

It is very important for you to write to us as soon as possible, so that we can help you with the application process.

We are looking forward to hearing from you soon!
